Mary Bevelock Pendergast joined Fidelity Biosciences as Chief Financial Officer in April 2011 and manages the finance and administrative functions of the firm. Mary has over 25 years of industry-related experience.

Prior to joining Fidelity, Mary served in a similar role as the Chief Financial Officer of Globespan Capital Partners, a global venture capital fund investing in go-to-market rounds of information technology companies. Mary was the Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration at JAFCO Ventures before joining Globespan. She also served as Vice President of Finance and Administration for Pretzel Logic Software, a venture-backed software company, and as Managing Director of the Boston office of cyberCFO. Earlier, Mary was Managing Partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers' Entrepreneurial Services Center, where she advised venture-backed and newly public companies on navigating the financial and operational challenges of growth. She also managed the firm's relationship with a number of venture capital firms.

Mary earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Boston College. She is a member of the Steering Committee of Boston's Women in Alternative Assets and a member of the Council for Women of Boston College.


Jill Frankle is a Principal at Knightsbridge and is responsible for analysis of venture capital partnerships and their underlying portfolio company investments.

Jill has over 18 years of private equity/venture capital, technology research and operating experience.

Prior to joining Knightsbridge, Jill was with TD Capital Ventures, an early stage technology venture capital firm. As a Principal, she was involved in all aspects of the investment process (e.g, deal sourcing, due diligence, investment committee, portfolio company management, and reporting). Prior to joining TD Capital Ventures, Jill was the Director of E-Commerce at Gómez, Inc., a privately held Internet startup. Prior to joining Gómez in 1999, she was the Program Manager of International Data Corporation's Internet and E-Commerce Strategies research team. With over five years as a leading industry analyst, Jill consulted to technology vendors and startups and was frequently called upon for her expertise by media outlets such as CNN, ABC World News Tonight, The Wall Street Journal, New York Times and The Boston Globe. Prior to joining International Data Corporation, Jill held a financial analyst position at Golub Associates Incorporated, a private equity investment firm in New York. Jill received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Michigan. Jill is a Steering Committee member of Women in Alternative Assets and is involved in several other local networking groups.

Cheryl Goyette is Partner and Chief Financial Officer at Fairhaven Capital and has over 17 years of experience in the venture industry.

Prior to joining Fairhaven, she was the Senior Vice President, Partnership Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Flagship Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm focused on creating, financing, and building innovative companies in the life science and technology sectors, with $500 million of capital under management. Prior to joining OneLiberty Ventures, a predecessor firm to Flagship Ventures, in 1998, Cheryl was a Partner and Chief Financial Officer at Capital Resource Partners, a private equity firm specializing in mezzanine debt financings.

Before entering the venture capital industry, Cheryl's varied experience included over five years of public accounting, both as a tax consultant with Ernst & Young and as a senior auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers. In addition, she started and successfully ran her own CPA practice. Cheryl has an MS in Taxation from the Graduate School of Bentley College and a BS in Accounting from Bentley College, where she graduated with Highest Honors. Cheryl is a Certified Public Accountant.

Denise Marks is a Partner and Chief Financial Officer at SV Life Sciences and oversees the operational, financial and administrative aspects of the firm.

Prior to joining SVLS, Denise was the VP Finance & Administration and a Managing Director at CMGI @ Ventures, the venture capital affiliate of CMGI, where she was responsible for all financial and operational aspects of the firm’s venture arm. Prior to joining CMGI @Ventures, Denise was a manager in the Technology Group of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. She spent her last two years in the firm’s Entrepreneurial Services Center in Cambridge, MA, working with early stage and rapidly growing technology based companies advising them on such areas as structuring M&A transactions, revenue recognition and equity related issues. Prior to PwC, Denise worked in commercial banking at Fleet Bank, NA (now Bank of America).

Denise received a joint MS Accounting/MBA from the Graduate School of Professional Accounting at Northeastern University and holds a BS in Finance/Economics from The Pennsylvania State University. She is a Certified Public Accountant.

Marion Schouten is Director, Market Development and Investor Relations at Castanea Partners. She joined Castanea in 2004 from Flagship Ventures, an entrepreneurship and venture capital firm, where she was Vice President Marketing Communications.

Prior to Flagship Ventures, Marion was Vice President of Marketing for the Technology & Life Science Division at Imperial Bank (now Comerica Bank). In that position, she was responsible for leading the marketing efforts in the Northeast Region primarily targeting venture capital firms and their portfolio companies.

Her varied experience also includes an extensive career as an artist with teaching positions at Holy Cross College and Wellesley College.

Marion holds an M.F.A. from Tufts University and a diploma from the Akademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Rotterdam, Holland.
